How Do I Add a Chart to a Data App?

The fastest way to add a chart is to start with a New App and drag your source into the Data App workspace.

Chart Options

Use the Format tab to customize titles, bars, lines, legends, colors, and more on any of the following charts:

  1. Scorecard
  2. Bar Chart
  3. Horizontal Bar Chart
  4. Combo Chart
  5. Stacked Bar Chart
  6. Stacked Horizontal Bar Chart
  7. Stacked Combo chart
  8. Funnel Chart
  9. Line Chart
  10. Stacked Area Chart
  11. Pie & Donut Chart
  12. Gauge Chart
  13. Treemap
  14. Table

1. Scorecard

Open the list of visualization options and select Scorecard. Combine multiple measures with the +Add button. In the example below, COGS and Profit are added to the Scorecard to get Gross Sales.

2. Bar Chart

Open the list of visualization options and select Bar Chart.

3. Horizontal Bar Chart

Open the list of visualization options and select Horizontal Bar Chart.

4. Combo Chart

Open the list of visualization options and select Combo Chart. Add multiple measurements side by side and format each as a bar or line to create a Combo Chart.

5. Stacked Bar Chart

Open the list of visualization options and select Stacked Bar Chart. Add multiple measurements to stack them on top of each other.

6. Stacked Horizontal Bar Chart

Open the list of visualization options and select Stacked Horizontal Bar Chart. Add multiple measurements to stack them side by side.

7. Stacked Combo Chart

Open the list of visualization options and select Stacked Combo Chart. Add multiple measurements to stack them on top of each other and format each measurement as a bar or line.

8. Funnel Chart

Open the list of visualization options and select Funnel Chart. Add multiple measurements to stack them side by side.

9. Line Chart

Open the list of visualization options and select Line Chart. Add multiple measurements to stack them on top of each other.

10. Stacked Area Chart

Open the list of visualization options and select Stacked Area Chart. Add multiple measurements to stack them on top of each other.

11. Pie and Donut Chart

Open the list of visualization options and select Pie Chart or Donut Chart. You could change the size of the donut hole in the Format tab by dragging a slider. You will get a Pie chart if you set the slider to 0%.

12. Gauge Chart

Open the list of visualization options and select Gauge Chart. Add multiple measurements to stack them on top of each other.

13. Treemap

Open the list of visualization options and select Treemap Chart. Add multiple measurements to stack them on top of each other.
