1. ABC ConventionÂ
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Dates: March 15-17, 2022
The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Convention is a merit shop construction event in San Antonio.Â
Highlights include the National Craft Championship, where competitors demonstrate skills and safe work practices, and the Construction Management Competition, which involves competing teams working on a project. The National Excellence in Construction Awards will also be presented.

2. AGC Convention

The AGC Annual Convention is an event where contractors can learn about topics like financial management, job site productivity, technology and innovation, safety, and more.Â

3. World of Modular
Location: San Antonio, Texas or virtual
Dates: April 25-28, 2022
Modular Building Institute (MBI) has been holding this modular and offsite construction industry event for almost 40 years.Â
The conference includes educational talks, networking sessions, an expo, and a golf tournament.Â

Engineering News-Record (ENR) holds its FutureTech conference to explore emerging technologies that enhance construction productivity, profits, and safety. It’s aimed at business and technology leaders — the people with the power to make decisions and purchases.Â
At ENR FutureTech, you can see demonstrations of the newest tech (maybe you’ll learn more about data analytics in construction), network with other leaders, and learn how other firms are changing the ways they build.

6. AIA Conference on Architecture 2022
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Dates: June 22-25, 2022
At the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Conference, you can learn from some of the biggest names in architecture.
The AIA Conference moves to a new city each year, allowing attendees to experience the local architecture. This year it’s in Chicago. There are over 75 architect-led tours available that give conference-only access to firms, projects, and buildings. There are also over 90 seminars about industry topics.

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Dates: October 18-21, 2022
The Lean Construction Institute (LCI) Congress states that its goal is “transforming the Built Environment through Lean implementation.” Each annual congress has a different theme.Â
This year’s program is still being finalized, but we know that the theme is “Lean Gumbo: The Right Ingredients for Project Success.”

8. Greenbuild International Conference and Expo
Location: San Francisco, California
Dates: November 1-3, 2022
Greenbuild bills itself as the premier event for the green building and green spaces industry. This year it’s being held in conjunction with the Industrialized Wood-Based Construction Conference (IWBC), produced by Forest Economic Advisors.
We don’t have the conference schedule for Greenbuild yet but expect a wide variety of sessions on recent projects, innovations, and social issues. There’s also an exhibit hall featuring green materials and new technologies.
If you’re interested in the theme of this conference but won’t be able to attend, Greenbuild also hosts virtual events throughout the year.

9. London BuildÂ
Location: London, UK
Dates: November 16-17
London Build is one of the biggest construction conferences in the UK. It’s the winner of the Best Brand Expansion at the Exhibition News Awards and a finalist for the Best Trade Show in the UK at the AEO Awards.
London Build features over 500 speakers and hundreds of exhibitors. There are also networking events like Women in Construction and Diversity in Construction, as well as entertainment and celebrity guests.Â

The World of Concrete event has already happened in 2022, but it’s never too early to start thinking about 2023.Â
